Don't make it so hard for me to stay

"The hardest thing to do is to watch someone you love, love someone else."

Oh how true this statement is. Watching someone you love moving on, falling in love, is more heart breaking, more tear wrenching, than possibly anything else. It's devastating. To hear how deep they feel about someone else. To see the true smile of happiness picture after picture. To say this is easy would be to lie.

But at the same time it is beautiful. I believe in order to truthfully say this statement, to actually feel what it implies, you must love some one unconditionally.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."

To love someone means you want what is best for them. Love is true. Love is pure. Love is humble. While watching someone you would give anything for, someone you love with all your heart, love some one else is indescribably painful, it is wonderful. Love means you want what is best for them. Real love means you want that person to be happy. That you rejoice in the new sunshine in their life because you want everything for them. Love is stepping aside if you know you're not the right person. It is silence once solidified. To love someone is to give them all of you and expect nothing in return. Love can break and tear you apart. But it enables us to find joy in the sorrow. To live off the light in the loved one's life.

Watching someone you love fall in love is not easy, and I'm not saying that it is.

But if you love them, truly love them, you can be happy for them.
All you want is for them to be happy.
Nothing more.
